This flute was made during the final era of the Louis Lot company’s illustrious history. It was made with great care and is a gem to play. Articulation is quick and light, and its tone is very lyrical and smooth from the moment you pick it up. You’ll also notice a natural fluidity throughout the flute, making tone colors and dynamics easy to control. The brilliance and glow that characterize the Louis Lot sound are evident and elegantly incorporated in all registers. The sound blends well with other instruments, supporting their tonal colors rather than competing with them. Simply, this flute is pure elegance.

The flute is unmodified. The embouchure, the headjoint tenon, and the tone holes are all original. However, the original crown was lost and replaced with a Lebret crown.

The pads are older but in excellent condition. They are sealing well and should last many more years with regular playing. The case is newer and in excellent condition.
