This is one of only 730 flutes made by Tip Lamberson. He completed this flute in the latter half of his flute making career. Mechanically, it has all of the fine qualities his flutes are known for – sturdy and reliable.
The sound of this flute is very robust and solid. The third register is easy to control without sounding overly bright.
The body pads are synthetic (Schmidt-like), while the foot pads are felt. They seal well and should last a long time. The flute comes with its original wooden case. The original leather carrying case has been lost to time.
