George Koregelos (1927-2012) made many fine flutes at his workshop in Oakland, California. His flute making career took root during his time repairing woodwind instruments, and his skills as a flute technician were well-known throughout the country during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1980, he started his flute making business, which flourished until he retired in 1995.

469 has a wonderfully bold and vibrant sound. The low register has lots of character, which blends smoothly into the second and third registers. The intonation is easy to control.

The flute is fitted with Straubinger pads and comes in its original case.
